Civic Opportunities
- FESTIVAL OF TREES
This is
a fun-filled day of volunteering. The Orlando Museum of Art sponsors a
week of activities displaying Christmas trees and wall hangings decorated by
professional designers and/or organizations. Miscellaneous Christmas
decorations, children’s activities, a visit from Santa, carolers performing,
and many other events throughout the week bring a large crowd to the museum.
All funds raised support the Museum of Art throughout the year.
Chapter members volunteer to be hostesses directing visitors, staff the
Christmas Store, assist children with arts and crafts, serve food, etc.
Members have fun and spend a lot of money. This is one of the
Chapter's most favorite volunteer opportunities.
-

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE
Members collected and donated
can tabs over a three-month period to the “Pull for the Ronald McDonald
House”. Recycled beverage tabs help your local Ronald McDonald House, a
“home away from home” for families of children with serious illnesses who
are undergoing treatment at nearby medical facilities.
-
WALT DISNEY WORLD OF SPORTS MARATHON

be course monitors directing runners and assisting them with whatever they
may need during the race. This marathon raises money for the Leukemia
Society. Wake up at 5:00 a.m. to be in place for a 7:00 a.m. kick-off
