committee duties 

    (facts & fun information):

bulletAwards & Recognition- Calculate the amount of either community hours or donations each member has done (there is a form, you just have to tally the results). 
bulletBylaws & Standing Rules/Parliamentarian - Reviews proposed amendments to the Chapter, Division & International Bylaws & Standing Rules.  Makes recommendations to the chapter for review prior to vote.  Keeps the chapter in the good standing of Robert's Rules.
bulletCertification (CPS/CAP) - Promotes interest in the CPS/CAP certification program.  Help orient, stimulate interest and encourage individuals wishing to take the examination.
bulletCivic - Help our members and our chapter with civic / community needs.
bulletEducation - Bring before the chapter the latest information and methods on administrative procedure, plan educational study session / forums.  Assess and maintain scholarship opportunities.  Currently we have established scholarship funds at Seminole Community College and Valencia Community College. 
bulletMembership - Recruitment and retention of members.
bulletNewsletter - Prepare and distribute the official publication of this chapter (minimum of ten newsletters each year), with informative articles for chapter members.
bulletProgram - Plan the programs for monthly meetings, always keep in mind to seek qualified speakers for monthly programs, so that members can go back to there employers with information.
bulletPublicity/Speaker's Bureau - Publicize chapter activities through releases to the press and other media and arrange for our members to go out into the community to educate on the IAAP organizations.
bulletScrapbook - Collect and assemble pictures and news articles pertaining to the chapter's activities.  Then present to the outgoing President at the Annual Meeting a memento of their year.
bulletSocial/APW - Make the monthly arrangements for dinner meetings including menus, cost, reservations, etc.  Administrative Professional Week (APW) - Formulate program(s) to enable the members to derive the greatest possible benefit from Administrative  Professionals Week (socially and educationally).
bulletWays & Means - Fund-raising efforts of our chapter.
bullet

Website - Monitor, assess and update information contained on the web to align with the scope of the chapter.

Special / One Time Committees -

Nominations - A Chairperson and two members who shall be elected by the membership in March to lead the search for the following years' board of directors.
