Would you like to enhance a skill or learn a new one?  Our committees allow you to use your skills (or learn new ones) with the support of the chapter.  Chair a committee or be a member of one.  Your leadership and support is always welcome and always appreciated!

  • Awards & Recognition

    Calculate the amount of either community hours or donations each member has done (there is a form, you just have to tally the results). Click here to obtain information about the Pathways to Excellence.

  • Bylaws & Standing Rules/Parliamentarian

    Reviews proposed amendments to the Chapter, Division & International Bylaws & Standing Rules. Makes recommendations to the chapter for review prior to vote. Keeps the chapter in the good standing of Robert's Rules.

  • Certification (CPS/CAP)

    Promotes interest in the CPS/CAP certification program. Help orient, stimulate interest and encourage individuals wishing to take the examination.

  • Civic

    Help our members and our chapter with civic/community needs.  Click here to see a few of our civic opportunities.

  • Education

    Bring before the chapter the latest information and methods on administrative procedure, plan educational study session/forums. Assess and maintain scholarship opportunities.  Currently we have established scholarship funds at Seminole State College and Valencia College.

  • Membership

    Recruitment and retention of members.

  • Newsletter

    Prepare and distribute the official publication of this chapter (minimum of ten newsletters each year), with informative articles for chapter members.

  • Program

    Plan the programs for monthly meetings, always keep in mind to seek qualified speakers for monthly programs, so that members can go back to there employers with information.

  • Publicity/Speaker's Bureau

    Publicize chapter activities through releases to the press and other media and arrange for our members to go out into the community to educate on the IAAP organizations.

  • Scrapbook

    Collect and assemble pictures and news articles pertaining to the chapter's activities. Then present to the outgoing President at the Annual Meeting a memento of their year.

  • Social/APW

    Make the monthly arrangements for dinner meetings including menus, cost, reservations, etc. Administrative Professional Week (APW) - Formulate program(s) to enable the members to derive the greatest possible benefit from Administrative Professionals Week (socially and educationally).

  • Ways & Means

    Fund-raising efforts of our chapter.

  • Website

    Monitor, assess and update information contained on the web to align with the scope of the chapter.

  • Nominations

    A Chairperson and two members who shall be elected by the membership in March to lead the search for the following years' board of directors.
